Ingredients for Mushrooms Dumplings
- Mashed potatoes 2 cups
- Egg 1 piece (selective)
- Wheat flour 1.5 cups
- Salt to taste
- Mushrooms 300 grams
- Onion 1 piece
- Serving Bacon
- Olive oil optional
- Spices to taste

Step 1: prepare the filling.
Wash the mushrooms and chop finely.
Peel the onion and crumble it into small cubes.
Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the onion in it until soft. Add mushrooms, spices and salt to the onion, fry everything together until tender, often stirring.
Step 2: prepare potato dough.
Prepare mashed potatoes from boiled potatoes, peeling them and mashing them with a crush. The mash should be cold when you start kneading the dough.
Add the sifted wheat flour and egg to the mash. Mix well to make a homogeneous mass. Salt.
You get a rather tight dough that holds its shape well and does not stick to your hands.
Step 3: sculpt the dumplings with mushrooms.
Divide the dough into 10 equal parts. And each will have a dumpling.
First, make a flat cake from the dough, put the remaining mushroom filling on the center and stick on top of the edge to make a ball.
Place the finished ball on a board sprinkled with flour so that it does not stick, and begin to sculpt the next one.
Step 4: cook the dumplings with mushrooms.
Boil water with a little olive oil.
Put potato dumplings in boiling water and cook them for 5-7 minutes over low heat until they pop up.
Remove the mushroom dumplings with a slotted spoon and arrange them in portions.
Step 5: serve the dumplings with mushrooms.
Serve dumplings with mushroom filling, garnish with fried bacon. You can add sour cream and fresh herbs. The taste of the potato balls prepared according to this recipe is simply amazing. Great meal for lunch or dinner for the whole family.
